Of course, your fall colors are so rich and gorgeous!

What sort of lens do you use to get the second photo? Some sort of fish-eye?

Whatever lens you use, the results are magnificent.

I use a piece of software called PTGUI that turns the panoramic into a "tiny planet" . it can be done in photoshop instead but i find PTGUI does it better and easier

so, you're from chicago but you live in austin?

i left chicago in 1990 and moved to austin in 1994. the DU austin crowd would get together every once in a while for a few brews back in the early 2000s.

The bright green bordered by autumn rust pop under that fab blue sky!

BTW, where are you standing in the bottom image? In the center?
