Anyone into antique photographs? I collect Gutta Percha items, jewelry and picture frames.

Many of the early frames and cases contain daguerreotype photographs. I love the ethereal qualities of those photos very much.

I was given a link by my daughter who is an antique dealer, featuring a photographer using old daguerreotype photography techniques. He really impressed me, and I want to share his story 😊. He also creates amazing images on leaves with a chlorophyll printing process, in which photographic images appear embedded in leaves through the action of photosynthesis.

His name is Binh Danh, and you can learn about him in this article and video.

About 1905 to 1912. Over 100 photos. Have to do something with them some.

One of the first things I noticed, the men are all wearing dress jackets and hats. On the streets, fishing or doing anything else, they all are in a jackets and hats.
