PM Update: Turning chillier into Tuesday as a weak storm system nears.
With average temperatures now into the low 50s, we might be able to call today warm given highs in the mid-50s. I am not sure we should go that far, but Ill let you decide. Temperatures are mainly in the 40s by tomorrow and then probably through the rest of the workweek. Youll notice an increasing chill tonight as skies clear out. . .
Snow? Tomorrow night, many places in the area could see their first snowflakes of the season. A moisture-starved clipper system is diving our way from the northwest, and it will redevelop offshore. While we wont see much, it could turn cold enough even into the city to see flakes. For accumulation, one will probably need to head into elevation like the Blue Ridge. Or for the best odds, the high country of Maryland and Virginia, where a winter weather advisory is in effect.
