Anybody else watch "Tower" on PBS last night? I thought it was brilliant.

So good of the filmmakers to concentrate on the shooting victims, law enforcement, and Austin media---with virtually no mention of Charles Whitman. Special kudos for the soundtrack---Debussy's wistful, romantic piano classic "Clair de Lune" as background music for the cops approaching Whitman at the top of the tower. I was in Austin that day; I had friends who lost family members. This documentary deserves all the awards and praise it's receiving.

The Clair de Lune aspect choked me up.

I believe the barely-mentioned Whitman was intentional, so as not to give him the platform - but the victims.

I need to watch it again later this week. Two thumbs up, but in a sad way.
