KVUE put together the 911 call, surveillance camera video, body cam video and police radio traffic from the night of Nov. 15 when Rajan Moonesinghe was shot and killed.
That night Austin police responded to a call reporting a man, identified as Moonesinghe, walking outside his home with a rifle in hand who then fired the rifle into his own home. Upon arriving at the scene, APD Officer Daniel Sanchez ordered Moonesinghe to drop the gun and then shot him. Moonesinghe later died.
All the elements have been synced to establish a timeline of how the incident unfolded.

AUSTIN, Texas — Family and friends of a man shot and killed by an Austin Police Department officer on Nov. 15 are looking for answers.
The family of 33-year-old Rajan Moonesinghe claims he was shot by officers without warning.
Police have now released the body camera footage of the incident that took place outside of Moonesinghe's South Austin home.
A 911 caller told police that a man with a rifle was pointing it into his own home, referring to Moonesinghe.
