Gov. Inslee, other Washington state officials to announce new abortion access policies
Governor Jay Inslee and other Washington state officials will announce new policies related to abortion access on Friday in Federal Way.
The press conference begins at 1:30 p.m., according to Inslee's office, and includes Sen. Claire Wilson, Rep. Jamila Taylor, Rep. Drew Hansen and Rep. Tarra Simmons.
"Protecting abortion access and reproductive health took on new urgency earlier this year when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and withdrew the rights of millions of Americans with it," Inslee's office wrote in a press release. "The court’s ruling set off a cascade of abortion bans in states across the country."
