http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511744988Lots of people who--let's just say they are not the type of person who lives in public housing in Harlem--are in there trashing it while pretending to be progressives.

(68,868 posts)I realized that was the kind of person behind their J. Crew movement.
Any movement that attracted people like that, not for me.

(15,376 posts)that link and still feel slimed. I gave you a Rec, but will not comment in GD-P.
I also added more names to my ever-growing Ignore List, however. I just don't care to put up with SBS supporter B***S*** The many supporters who are courteous are fine. But I don't need those who aren't in my life in any way, shape or form.
I did note one new term: "Hillaverse" thatr I suppose is meant to be ignoble. However, I can infer that its synonym is actually "real life" and thus am proud to be in the reality-based world rather than in the fantasy version some SBS supporters believe in.
And yes, I believe that Hillary means what she says about working for low income housing residents and will do her best to carry through with her words. Unlike her opponent who talks a lot and does little, e.g., he promised to release his tax returns today and still hasn't even managed to do that very simple thing.

(68,868 posts)I innocently thought Sanders supporters would come in there and talk about the issue of housing for the urban poor.
Boy was I wrong.

Today, Hillary accepted the invitation and went. I hope he covers the visit on his show tonight

(86,996 posts)I am glad she is going, not that she hasn't seen low income housing before, even if it's been a while, it's not like anything has changed for the better in all this time.

(42,030 posts)I lived in public housing in Seattle for quite some time--not the same as Harlem, but I do know what living in one feels like.
