Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumHere’s what Hillary Clinton can and can’t give Bernie Sanders in exchange for his support
http://www.dailynewsbin.com/opinion/heres-the-very-short-list-of-things-hillary-can-give-bernie-in-exchange-for-his-support/24583/Weve reached the point in the democratic primary race where Bernie Sanders has figured out that hes not going to come back from a nearly three million vote deficit, and instead hes now trying to figure out what he can get from Hillary Clinton in exchange for throwing his support behind her. Hes publicly floating the idea of forcing her to adopt his entire economic platform, which is not how things work when youve just finished losing in a blowout. But there are a handful of things Hillary can give him. In fact she appears to have been laying the groundwork for it for awhile now.
She knows how to handle it very well.......I trust our country in her hands......without any fear.

(10,014 posts)Sanders should continue the revolution and help organize his supporters to actually do something, like vote out the repugs.

(30,058 posts)Winning enough delegates to get the nomination. Why should Hillary adopt a losing agenda?

And wag his finger. And, listen to me. Make sure he knows that you are listening.
keep him there all night if you have to.
Treat him like a foreign dignitary who needs a deal ;
Force him into particulars/details; and force him into negotiating on those particulars.
Force him to leave, if anyone leaves.

(298,048 posts)but has them believing every word.. and smearing civil rights icons in the name of BS.
Sanders never fleshed out his points.
There are points to be made; problems that need addressing.
But, he did not get past the topic sentence.
He needed to.
In the negotiations, I advocate Clinton pushing for detail; going beyond the topic sentence.
We are talking about Congress passing laws.

(17,865 posts)Why on earth would Hillary want to work hard to get votes from people who hate her and say they won't vote for her no matter what? Who call her dirty names, promote right wing claptrap from the Republican sewers, and want her to get indicted just to comfort their sad? It just shows how unrealistic these Sanders supporters are.
My advice for people like that is to tell them they can go piss up a rope!

(3,284 posts)is why, if she's winning by a substantial amount (which she thankfully is!), she should be expected to adopt the loser's platform?
Almost 3 million people prefer HRC; presumably this means they also support her platforms. Wouldn't it be doing these voters a disservice to switch platforms when that's not what they voted for?
I'm tired of hearing the media talk about how Bernie holds the cards. Since when does the losing candidate hold all the cards??
