CNN's Tom Foreman breaks down how much aid the US has sent to Ukraine and Israel and how Americans feel about the cost of helping allies.

1. It's really unfair that CNN doesn't point out that aide to UKR is only 5% of our military budget

Two, that that 5% has diminished russian military by 50%, that much of what we sent Ukraine is older equipment that would have been scuttled anyway, and lastly that much of the aide is under the lend lease program.

not to even mention the munitions being replaced are providing high paying jobs to Americans

The pain and suffering of the war in Ukraine is yielding some unforeseen results that are affecting markets throughout the world. CNN should have taken some time in the report to mention both the military readiness of Russia being diminished and the effects on US military readiness and logistical chains. There is a lot of non-military equipment being sent to Ukraine that will require repair parts which will also bolster the US economy.
