The dark duplicity of the UK's 'largest and most active' anti-Israel group
It always seems to start with something so small.
Last Thursday, December 6, I received the following tweet from Arieh Kovler...

Hate-mongers from BDS and PSC exposed as their masks slip. Again.

(31,182 posts)That's 1:23 into Religulous. It was a Muslim preacher. It followed the interview with the Dutch rapper: "Propa-gandi".
I am using my free trial of Netflix and catching up on movies. You can get a 30 day trial and watch movies on your PC. I actually bought a new PC because my 9 year old PC had many audio and video problems. I have an impression that movies only play for a period of time. If you wait, Religulous may disappear.

(3,093 posts)The tweet(*) has already been deleted. The organization has stated that it did not make that post and has indicated that they are investing how it got posted. Just some rogue agent, nothing to see here.
(*)--I really hate saying that--just talking about any aspect of twitter seems so damn goofy, I can't believe anybody takes it seriously..

(14,851 posts)Twitter has been very useful in exposing these Freudian slips or dropping of their masks. Just look at the Greta Berlin affair, she slipped up on twitter and them with further investigation a whole hotbed of antisemism was found and ultimately led to the Free Gaza Movements spiral into non touchable status.
It all started on Twitter .."It always seems to start with something so small."

(3,093 posts)that aside from my weak attack on the twitter twits, my post was mostly a stitched up compendium of the rationalizations from when Israel's embassy in <somewhere> called the Palestinians Christ-killers-in-waiting. Just for irony's sake, and it indeed wasn't even noticed. I really don't take your hysteria seriously, so you can feel free to dial it down a notch in future replies to me. I know that you won't, but I feel compelled to make that allowance anyway.

If Mary and Jesus were alive today, they would, as Jews without security, probably end up being lynched in Bethlehem by hostile Palestinians.

(6,068 posts)Israel was not inclined to immediately replace the racist ambassador initially. It was only after condemnation from the Opposition Leader (and later Prime Minister) Kevin Rudd as well as NZ Prime Minister Helen Clark (Tamir was also non-resident ambassador to New Zealand) that he was replaced.
Isi Leibler, a former president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, said: "Naftali Tamir is a decent man who I am sure does not have a racist bone in his body. If he was quoted correctly his language was disastrous and I am sure that he did not intend to convey what was said if it was said."
He added that the comments of Shadow Foreign Affairs spokesman Kevin Rudd who described Tamir's remarks as "completely unacceptable" made it "very difficult" for the diplomat to return to Australia.

(58,724 posts)He swore that he did not say the remarks that he was quoted as saying.
I would hope that, under those circumstances, he would not be terminated immediately, but only after confirming that he did actual say what he was accused of saying (which I'm not sure ever actually happened).
