WORKPLACE FAIRNESS
Day of Action for Pregnant Workers
Today is a national day of action for the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which now has bipartisan support in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives! So please take action right now and tell your members of Congress to stand up for the rights of pregnant workers -- because no woman should be forced to choose betweenher job and the health of her pregnancy. Ever.
Tell Congress it's time to pass the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act:

We're Fighting Back
Banning abortion care at 20 weeks, denying coverage for birth control, eliminating the nation's family planning program, forcing women to have ultrasounds they neither want nor need (and then sending a copy to the state), and requiring women to delay abortion care for no medical reason -- sadly, these are the kinds of Bad Medicine laws we've come to expect from state and federal politicians. But we're fighting back.
Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) and Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.) introduced the Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance (EACH Woman) Act -- a bill that would help ensure that all women have health coverage for abortion, regardless of their income or the source of their insurance. We strongly support this bill because it's time for politicians to stop interfering with a woman's ability to make her own personal health care decisions.
Tell your elected officials to co-sponsor the EACH Woman Act:

The Obama administration issued a contraceptive regulation to help ensure that employees who work for closely held for-profit corporations have access to contraceptive coverage in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's flawed and damaging ruling in Hobby Lobby.

In a mean-spirited attack on women's health, members of Congress snuck an abortion restriction into the 21st Century Cures Act.
