What's for Dinner, Sat., Aug. 22, 2015

Caramelized onion and eggplant pizza with both mozzarella on one side and goat cheese on the other.

I made this post up way earlier, but I don't see it now. Guess I shut down my computer without clicking the "post" button.

The cherry tree is down to the last 4 ft or so, with the limbs cut off roughly level and straight across, as I consider whether to take the stump down or to set up a bird condo/feeding station/watering station on it.

The neighbours on the side that aren't my parents are definitely in foreclosure, and had a bunch of stuff taken back by a rental place today. Haven't seen any of the 4 kids or 5 dogs in quite a while, presumably the guy is still languishing in jail waiting for his rape trial, so the woman is the only one still around, at least part of the time. She's been packing up for a while now, and actually got around to mowing her own lawn lately, but I went ahead and trimmed all of the bushes along the fence that I could reach, leaving them at about 7 ft or so tall, enough for a privacy fence, but not totally wild and overgrown.

Hoping we have better luck with whoever winds up buying it next, and that it just doesn't turn into another rental in the neighbourhood. Getting more of those around, and property values have been dropping off. Last time they evaluated ours, I think they valued it at 17k lower than when I bought it.
