Ronda Rousey mocks Floyd Mayweather after winning 'Best Fighter' ESPY

At the annual ESPY Awards on Wednesday in Los Angeles, female UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey won the Best Fighter award over male contemporaries in UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, and boxers Gennady Golovkin and Terrance Crawford.

Oh, and some guy named Floyd Mayweather, too.

“Money” famously once said about Rousey: “I have no idea who he is.” Well, after Rousey’s ESPY acceptance quip on the red carpet, you can best believe he knows exactly who Ms. Rousey is now.

"I can't help but really say that I wonder how Floyd (Mayweather) feels being beat by a woman for once," Rousey said. "I'd like to see you pretend to not know who I am now."

things about Floyd. Obviously, he has no reason to care what she thinks or says. She's a tiny minnow in a itty-bitty mud puddle on someone's back lawn; he's one of the greatest athletes, not only of recent eras, but in history.

I loved his response a couple years ago, when some reporter mentioned one of her attempts to have her name associated in some way with his: "I don't even know who that guy is."

5. If only that were actually true

It was actually the owner/promoter of UFC who said she could beat him. Frankly most MMA fighters would in an MMA fight as boxing has very limited attack vectors.

But we do know that Mayweather loves beating women (he's pleaded guilty to several domestic violence charges against multiple women0 and threatening his kids because they called the cops on him for beating their mom.
