First game of Spring Training for my Mariners...

No TV, listening on the radio.

Pitch clock seems to help move the game along. It's the bottom of 8 after about 2 hrs 15 minutes.

Have had a few more balls squirt through the infield without the shift, according to the announcers.

Haven't had any steal attempts yet.

and I like both the pitch clock and the absence of shifts. Jury is out on the pizza boxes.

especially with how hard pitchers are throwing these days and with the emphasis on pulling for the long ball by hitters, batting averages haven't been this low in decades.

Hoping to see a bit more "real" baseball going forward.
