(14,860 posts)3. I've been forwarded the jury results for this thread:
At Wed Mar 28, 2012, 09:26 PM an alert was sent on the following post:
What the Pope dreams about.
REASON FOR ALERT:
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS:
SoP:
"Discuss religious and theological issues. All relevant topics are permitted."
Do you see anything religious, theological or relevant here?
This is simply a particularly stupid slam whose only outcome can be disruptive.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Mar 28, 2012, 09:34 PM, and the Jury voted 1-5 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: The alerting person has a point, but cartoon speaks to the pope's state of mind which, I think, is relevant to the discussion of religion and politics.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT and said: Highly inappropriate.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: The post refers directly to Catholicism, and while some probably find it offensive, it meets the SoP for the Religion group. If you don't like it, put the author on ignore or trash the thread.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: Can't fool me. The Pope does have to do with religion. Really. Check with the news.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: Again, some people need thicker skins. It's a cartoon, for crying out loud.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.
