New Platform Beckons For Religious Scholars And Communities

Aug 30, 2015 @ 9:56 AM
John Farrell

At first look, I thought the new Deily.org site was aimed at the same market as Patheos, the popular platform for readers of all faiths and none to engage in discussion about religion and society.

But Deily, which plays on the Latin word for God, is aimed more at pastors, spiritual leaders and scholars of religion: a portal where anyone who runs their own church, temple or other religious community, or is doing research on religion, can come to share questions, thoughts, or burdens.

As I’m more into the debate between science and religion, I naturally complained about the lack of a section that deals explicitly with science-faith related questions. But I’m told that will be coming soon.

According to the site’s publicity contact, “Deily.org is meant to be a platform of conversation, so you can create any topic or thread you want, including those around science and faith. It’s meant to be a safe community where you can ask questions and leave comments and start deeper conversations around any topics related to religion, such as science.”
