The road to my cousin's house is tricky in GOOD weather.

My brother said he got 14 inches of snow at his house in Arlington,Virginia and lost power for six hours. Im only glad he wasnt on the road

(131,416 posts)6. Happily I live only 7 miles from my daughter's house,
and when it was apparent I wouldn't have heat last night, she called 911! who came to 'assist/check up' on me, and drive me to her house where there was heat (due to propane tank; no power, tho.)
