MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) Bernie Sanders didnt just win Tuesday night, he won big in every Minnesota Congressional district.
Sanders routed Hillary Clinton in a contest that almost everyone thought would be a close one.
Sanders predicted he would do well if the turnout was big, and it was. There were long lines at caucuses across the state. A number of precincts even ran out of ballots, allowing voters to write in their choice on index cards.
Sanders win came despite the fact that every prominent elected official in the state, including the Governor and Sen. Klobuchar, all endorsed Clinton.

(31,935 posts)you know; those States that your candidate could never, ever possibly win in a general election? Meanwhile, Bernie had decisive wins in Blue and Swing states.
But who cares about winning the war when it's all about winning the primaries for your right wing uber establishment candidate, right? Flush the whole Country just so you can say "team DLC/ DNC won the primaries!! Woowoo! I don't care if Trump is President, 'cause he's a buddy of team DLC/ DNC!" It's all just the Superbowl to some people.
Marr
(20,317 posts)The DLC-types, that is. Win with Sanders and they lose control of the party. Lose with Clinton and who cares? It's not like they actually mind seeing right-wing legislation passed.

(1,384 posts)I was pointing out to the OP that he lost Virginia, which hasn't been red for 2 cycles, by 30 points. It was a simple statement of fact.

(142 posts)Might be a good time to call the offices of your Superdelegates who have committed to Hillary and ask them if they'd consider NOT going against their constituents wishes and switch now to Bernie! Couldn't hurt!

The DFL party chair said only a handful of precincts ran out of ballots and that, despite the very heavy turnout, voting was orderly.

The long lines curled into the 14 separate caucuses at St. Pauls Central High School. Gov. Mark Dayton was among those who braved the lines, filling out his ballot for Clinton, on whose behalf he campaigned.

(2,227 posts)Just want some opinions on this. Leo Decaprio got best actor and he deserved it. In my opinon, best actor/actress award could have gone to everyone in the cast of Spotlight. Am I crazy? You can pm me if you don't want to mess up this thread.
UglyGreed
(7,661 posts)but I have always enjoyed Leo's acting. From What's Eating Gilbert Grape, This Boy's Life and Gangs of New York to name a few that comes to mind. IMO he has always performed very well and is a top notch actor.

(3,655 posts)Someone asked Governor Dayton about his endorsement of Hillary and he just said Bernie won because the activists showed up to caucus and that Hillary would have won if it was a primary.
I've lost all respect for this man. I'm not buying his BS anymore either.
