(675 posts)Of any and all wrongdoing. No way in hell the former SOS and Democratic candidate for president gets charged by a sitting Democratic President finishing up his second term. There are high ranking people at the DOJ working overtime right now to pave the way for Hillary to skate out of this.
Hillary will be elected our nations first female president. All this hot air about the server and what emails were classified will be old news by convention time.
Look how calm Hillary has been through this entire ordeal, she knows the outcome already. The investigation is nothing more than a formality by the FBI and the DOJ, it's a necessary evil that must be completed to clear the way for Hillary's eventual election win. The outcome is already determined, just sit back and watch Hillary confound the right wing old boys club that's been hounding her since 1992 one last time before she wins her ultimate prize.
Mark my words, Hillary will come out of this 'scandal' stronger than ever and her accusers on the right will be seen as low brow knuckle draggers standing in the way of history.
Hillary will again be seen as a 'victim' being harassed by the mean right wingers who will try anything to stop her from fulfilling her destiny. She will get the sympathy vote from the vast majority of women voters who know all to well how far some men will go to keep a smart, powerful woman in her place. By convention time the narrative will be 'how Hillary overcame the witch hunt' Hillary will be seen as a hero.

(2,702 posts)Not really based in much reality though. Obama doesn't really owe Clinton anything. Why would he want to tarnish his legacy by telling people to go easy on her? He's not going to save her, there's nothing in it for him.

(6,829 posts)By early May they'll finish their investigation and either recommend charges or not.
Loretta Lynch will then make the decision on whether to go forward or not if there's a case. Here's where it may stop if she declines to go ahead.
However, if the investigation recommends charges that will hang around HRC'S neck for the rest of the campaign and surely damage her even if Lynch doesn't go ahead.
I truly hope there's no charges and this all goes away. I will be pissed if Obama's scandal free legacy is ruined by a Clinton scandal. It would also do tremendous damage to down-ticket candidates. My fervent hope is there's nothing here
That said, it really doesn't look good at the moment

(26,549 posts)At least in regards to the election. Clinton won't be facing prison, but it will be framed as "Obama let her get away with it". The assumption will be she is guilty. And that will kill us if she's the candidate in November.

Close to 50 people dead, who have crossed their paths.
Now, anyone older than 30 probably remembers this was the rumor that was floating around.
