"What?"
"I want a pony, or I'm not turning my key."
"You have to turn your key!"
"You're not the boss of me. Pony or bust."
"No, I mean that missile is heading right for us, and if you don't turn your key, you'll die!"
"Oh no you don't. I'm done being terrorized into compliance. You think you can just take my key turn for granted, but you can't. If you think--"
Time for unity.

(4,667 posts)We have. In some cases we know exactly why you're wrong. In others, we can't see any reason to think it likely. In still others, we have to bite the bullet and say yes, Hillary sucks in this regard, although her positive qualities continue to make her the best candidate, all things considered.
But in any case, it's moot now. Hillary is going to be the nominee. We need to work together to put the nominee into the Oval Office.

(6,409 posts)You guys can drop that now. It worked, at least enough to put the nomination out of reach for Sanders. Most of us (Sandernistas) realized it would come to this eventually, so we are prepared to suck it up and do what must be done. The general voting population may not appreciate the "Vote for my candidate or die!" approach.

That's what you think he's trying to get? Not literally, of course, but you think Bernie is just trying to be stubborn over trivial stuff?

You know back when she was more open about being a republican. before she came up with the genius idea of calling herself a democrat while still achieving all the goals of the republican party.

I think unity will happen. I think it's time to ignore all the ones calling for their ponies. We don't have them, we never did, and we never will. They are few in number, and I don't believe most of them would have remembered to vote anyway.

Secondly, your scenario is such a false construct that it doesn't even remotely apply to the reality of what is going on.
But proceed, governor.
