President Barack Obama endorses Debbie Wasserman Schultz

President Barack Obama has endorsed U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz who faces a rare primary challenge for her Broward/Miami-Dade congressional district.

It's no surprise that Obama endorsed his Democratic National Committee chair since 2011 -- but it shows that she is facing a challenge worth paying attention to from Nova Southeastern University professor Tim Canova.

Canova poses an embarrasing challenge to the PTB and the Satus Quo. Obama does not that to happen on his watch.

And FDR Liberal Democrats from other states, hopefully, are drawn to support him, if only for the message it will send to what she represents...overstated, but still correct...The Establishment.

Oh and just as an aside, she's for vulture lenders, too. Party of the People, my arse.

Another 3rd way politician like the Clintons, only not as corrupt. However, Obama hasn't had a shot at cashing in post Presidency yet.

I've tried very, very, very hard to come to grips with this BUT I simply CAN NOT find anything I like about this!! Does Obama NOT KNOW how DWS is perceived???

I'm sure he does, but for those who don't REALLY understand what's happened to The Democratic Party THIS should be a Yuuuuuggee RED FLAG with a COW BELL hanging from it!

The Democratic of TODAY looks more and more about REPUBLICAN LITE! This just makes me sick and HE said he supported the CONSUMER FINANCE PROTECTION BUREAU!

Not so much I guess!

This is just ASTONISHING and he really has now jumped the SHARK for me!

And as much as I respect the President, I fully disagree with his endorsement and I'm disappointed in it. DWS represents much of what has gone wrong with the Democratic party. I'd love to be able to change my registration from independent back to Democrat but as long as she and other like-minded politicians represent the party that I once knew and loved I will have to wait.

Does anyone know if Canova has a real chance to beat her?

Furthermore, Obama's endorsement was expected, and does not mean squat to djean111. Also, I will be taking a page directly from the DWS-DINO playbook, and will not support Debbie DINO, ever.
Sauce for the DINO is sauce for the actual Democrat.

Canova should see this as a sign of just how worried DWS is about her own political future. This is a safe district and should have been a slam dunk primary election for DWS. The fact that she needs this coveted endorsement is a sign that she is weak, not strong.

Bernie has lit a fire. This is the first time I have seen the grass roots as energized as their leader. It happened with Obama, but that was good marketing by his team.
