Related: About this forumPresident Obama- Fortunate to have worked with Hillary Clinton
The president has said that Secretary Clinton comes into this race with more experience than any other non-vice president in recent campaign history, White House spokesman Eric Schultz told reporters aboard Air Force One.
Schultz added the president was fortunate enough to have Clinton as his secretary of State for four years, when they worked together on complicated, on complex issues.
The White House came to Clintons defense after Sanders said his rival was unqualified to serve as president.
"This campaign will fight back" if attacked, Sanders said at a Thursday press conference in Philadelphia. "This is not the type of politics that I want to get in."

(10,565 posts)In the real world Obama's approval rating is above 50%, in the DU bubble probably in the teens. I think he has been an outstanding President who has had to work under very difficult circumstances.

(3,937 posts)Again, the issue is not her experience but her conflicts of interest in taking on the banks and other major players that have donated to her campaign and bought influence through the Clinton foundation.
With Scalia off the SCOTUS we have an opportunity to put the era of not recusing oneself due to obvious conflicts of interest behind us. We should take it.

(99,719 posts)Is or is not Eric Schultz authorized to speak on behalf of the president and if the answer to the former is yes is it fair to dismiss your objection as being without merit?
Thank you in advance.

(3,937 posts)Obama supporters don't want the Bush-hugging Clintons rolling back the progress we have made during what Bill Clinton called the "awful legacy" of the last 8 years. We want to build on Obama's brilliant legacy.

If you believe the White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary isn't authorized to speak for the president there is nothing I can do to disabuse you of that notion. That's his or her raison d'etre.

(3,859 posts)I agree with your cordial spirit. We just disagree about HRC's qualifications to be POTUS. I believe Bill Clinton's election was a tragedy for many poor people and non-violent drug "offenders" and HRC's election would be a tragedy for the world. I truly hope you have a great weekend too!
