Santorum defends Rush Limbaugh, says he should remain on taxpayer financed Armed Forces Network
"Its amazing how all these issues tend to get politicized after a while, said Santorum. The Armed Services Network is trying to provide entertainment value to the men and women in uniform. Rush Limbaugh is the most popular radio talkshow host in America, no-ones even close.
Rush Limbaugh clearly made a mistake. He apologized for the mistake and now we are going to try to deny the men and women in uniform, serving our country overseas, a program that they listen to on a regular basis when theyre home?
That certainly doesnt make any sense to me."

(51 posts)No woman in her right mind enjoys Rush's show. This isn't entertainment. It's right wing fascism. I am all for free speech, but Rush regularly goes too far, and anyone with any respect for women whatsoever wants nothing to do with him.
Frothy is just nuts anyway, so I am not surprised at this at all.

(4,119 posts)Continuing to have Rush on military radio encourages a culture of rape, so I doubt women soldiers find 'entertainment value' in Rush.
"The US military has been accused of showing a high degree of tolerance for sexual violence and condoning a culture of rape, according to several women who have served in the US armed forces.
Eight current and former female US soldiers filed a lawsuit in US District Court in Washington on Tuesday, alleging that they were raped or sexually harassed while serving in the military.
The women have also claimed in the lawsuit that they faced retaliation when they complained about the abuse.
The lawsuit accuses US military commanders of showing a "high tolerance for sexual predators in their ranks" and failing to take action to tackle the problem..."

This must be the reason they repeatedly suppress the military vote, especially from those overseas.
