Don't these freaking morons know BOTH the 2008 and 2009 versions were thoroughly debunked three years ago?
Or is there a brand new generation of Birther Racist Morons that have hatched from a pod somewhere?
Look at the comments under this picture, which has had nearly four dozen "shares"
http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=2815292417514&set=a.1071736829714.2011302.1114931070&type=1&theater
"OmGz! Why aren't the news outlets on this?!"
"Everyone should post this on their Pages..and get it out there! Seriously...we have his foot print now!
"I don't think this could possibly be real,,aren't they just "born in the jungle" over there???"
"ok, I not only hit share J.d. but I put the you tube video of them breaking the other one down on the computer. the poop is going to hit the fan on my page lmao"
"Well wherever he came from, he is definitely not born in the US. And I was just informed yesterday that his wife was to be disbarred?"
"the majoe news outlets are too liberal and most are NOT allowed to report this..."
"To even slightly think the kenyan muslim is doing a good job, is what's "stupid" And it was the "stupid" vote that got him elected in the first place. And it's "stupid" people who automatically jump to the "racism" arguement the minute anyone comes out against him. If hating muslims or muslim apologist and supporters is racist, then I am so, PROUDLY!!! Regardless of where he was born, he is still the worst president we have ever had,,, including Jimmy Carter!!"
Here is the thread on Free Republic where they are salivating over the 3-year-old certificate:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2857914/posts
"That is not the footprint of a human infant."
"I read an eye opening article on of all places, Pravda (it was linked on Drudge) that pointed to the reason why Hawaii is so key, and made me think the whole Kenya thing is a red herring. I think he was born in WA state, which would still make him ineligible for office."
"Perhaps this will make the political elite a little more careful in vetting future presidential candidates."
"Furthermore, that Obama was born in Hawaii does not make him a citizen. Obama is, arguably, not eligible for the Presidency because he is not a natural born citizen to parents who were citizens. More importantly, he is acting with hostility to U.S. interests domestically and abroad. But about half the American public still likes him, and will vote for the next socialist who comes along even if they toss him out for Romney this time around."
And here is the thorough debunking that took place in Feb of 2009:
http://www.calldrmatt.com/Myth_Busting_106-Barack_Obama_Birth_Kenya_Hawaii.htm#New_and_Improved
I'm hitting every FB post I can find with links to the debunking. I know this seems laughable to us right now, but we seriously can't let this crap go unanswered again. Agree? Or is it a waste of time?

(2,830 posts)Trust me, it is an obsessive hate that fuels the birther movement coupled with a good dose of ignorance and a very healthy racist foundation.
They will not accept state-issued and verified documents but are perfectly happy to accept any sketchy unsubstantiated piece of paper of alleged foreign origin.

(58 posts)Efforts to show that these Birthers the error of their ways are admirable and necessary, simply to prevent the Birthers from spreading their conspiracy theory unhindered by facts; there are always a certain number of people who will listen to reason. But as far as convincing the Birthers that they are being misled, it's a mostly hopeless endeavor. The Birthers "want to believe", as Fox Mulder used to say on X-Files. Attempts to show them that they are wrong will generally be taken as part of the huge global conspiracy to foist the sinister Marxist Muslim Kenyan One-Worlder Obama upon the good, Christian, godfearin' folks of the U.S.A.

Then woke up and saw this crap this morning.

(3,539 posts)I have a friend that's into that stuff. Having had need of a birth certificate I have the 'honest to state of Pennsylvania' copy of mine.
I scanned it in.
I showed him the (ha ha) layers.
His opinion. Mines real. Obama's fake.
Must be fun being a teabagger. You just believe what you're told to believe.

Dates outside the US are typically written dd-mm-yyyy. Hence his mother's birthdate would have been written 29/11/1942.

(30,058 posts)It lists the mother's residence as Hawaii and her place of birth as Kansas. This should be proof of his citizenship. They now need to get over it. Even if citizens of the US has a child in some where else than a US Territory, they go to the US embassy to obtain a birth certificate. Either the birthers want to remain incompetent and unknowing of the laws of the US or they are LIARS.

(11,175 posts)The obvious interpretation of "natural born citizen" is that the person was a U.S. citizen immediately, at birth, without having to go through subsequent naturalization or any other legal procedure.
Under the Fourteenth Amendment, anyone born in the U.S. is a citizen, regardless of parentage, unless his or her parents were foreign diplomats enjoying diplomatic immunity. Obama was born in Hawaii and is therefore a natural born citizen.
BUT under the law that was in effect in 1961, a person born in Kenya with only one U.S. citizen parent would not automatically be a citizen. The undisputed facts about Stanley Ann Dunham (specifically, her being only 18 years old) mean that, if she for some reason flew halfway around the world to give birth in third-world colony, then her child would not have been an automatic U.S. citizen. IMO, therefore, such a child would not have ben a natural born citizen.
The birthers are still wackos but let's be careful about our facts, so that they can't seize on minor errors for purposes of distraction.
Thinkingabout
(30,058 posts)This section provides Obama's mother is a citizen of the US. This section does not require both parents be a citizen.
Could it be a fake from Kenya, most likely and by some the same producers who does not have very much knowledge of foreign documents who has lived their whole lives in the USA.
Thinkingabout
(30,058 posts)Parent having lived in the US before 5/24/1934 and this would declare his mother a citizen. If the birthers was even a little right the repubs would never allowed Obama to take the office.

(11,175 posts)I agree that the purported Kenyan birth certificate is a fake, and a not particularly good one at that.

(54,484 posts)In England (and colonies), they put the DAY first and the MONTH second.
Therefore two consecutive days (e.g. Aug. 7 and Aug. 8 down at the bottom) would have been 7-8 and then 8-8.
Putting the month first is how it's done in the USA. All Europe puts the day first, including the UK.
This doc is an American teabagger fake. Well, OK, "teabagger fake" is a little redundant, but you
get the idea. It was made up by American jerkoffs who didn't bother to do their homework.

(21,722 posts)This comment on the facebook link got me: Even if he had been born on US soil he does not meet the eligibilty criteria of 2 natural born parents cited in an 1800's court case.
What court case??

(14,933 posts)and no, they don't use "inches" in kenya. There is no logic, even without digging very far into it.
I don't know who the JD Cash guy is either, who got this garbage circulating again.
creeksneakers2
(7,476 posts)In the case, the court said it was not necessary to decide the meaning of "natural born citizen" to be able to decide the case. The birthers take a quote from the case out of context, then twist it.

(54,484 posts)But the UK still uses English measures as we do.
US citizenship is obtained by having one U.S. citizen as a parent. Both my daughters were born
in Germany and my wife is German. After they were born, I went to the US embassy and presented
the necessary docs and my passport. Within an hour, both times, I got their American birth certificates,
with the clear phrase, "birth of an American citizen abroad." There is no requirement for both parents
to be American. One is enough. Besides, Obama not only has one American parent, but was born on
American soil, which is enough to be an American citizen from birth even if both parents are not.
The revival of the birther BS is only one more bit of proof how desperate the Republicans see their
situation. They wouldn't be dredging up this tired old routine again if they had something better.

(96,793 posts)several years ago when this birth certificate crap first came up, that ALL candidates for Congress, both House and Senate, are investigated by the FBI as soon as they declare their candidacy. So if there was any particle of truth in this fake birth certificate claim, it would have been uncovered then. In 2004.
So every time this birth certificate story comes up, I just chuckle. It'e just a ridiculous diversion and there's a good reason most Republicans who have ever been elected to Congress have never hopped on the birther bandwagon.

Warning: If you decide to read everything there on the FOUR pages it could take a couple of hours,
and if you start clicking on any of the embedded hyper-links it could take several days
p.s. That is THE link that we should all try to help make go viral
p.s.s. And there is also a 'Birther Claims Debunked' tab at the top of that page/link too.
