Will the Real Mitt Romney please shut up.

In case you don't quite get it, 'Santorum wins Louisiana' was the No.3 news story in Australia few days ago. Domestic politics, and in particular 'would-be-president' politics is news outside the US, often big news. Even Romney's Etch A Sketch moment made news in Oz, albeit in the topical/comedy section..
I would have thought that after Rick Perry caused an international incident by remarks in a primary debate, the contenders would have wised up. 'Turkey ...is run by Islamic Terrorists" is pretty extreme, but in the same ball park as Russia is US Geopolitic Enemy No.1.
Stupid is as stupid does. 'No 1. foe', why go there?
1. It's box of rocks dumb in any context; and
2. Not an occasion to play party politics, let alone primary politics, to say the least; and
3. Stupendously stupid when the Russian delegation had the world's media right at hand.
Turkey responded to Perry with contempt: 'Turkey joined NATO while the governor was still 2 years old". Medvedev had the world stage and used it. 'Smells like Hollywood' is a jibe that goes way beyond Mittens.
I don't think it was protocol that prompted Boehner to speak out. Not only was the standing of the United States and the Republican Party front and center, but Medvedev's smack down made Romney look like a clown.
Another international incident. Is Romney truly clueless, or just completely irresponsible? How can a leading candidate for President of the United States go on CNN and think he is only talking to a domestic audience? Is another 'shoot first and ask questions later' kind of guy, that the world needs now like a hole in the head, standing for President? "Use your head". Does Mitt actually have a real head for anything?
No 1. Foe was a top story in Australia. In Russia you can bet it was a screaming tabloid headline of a story that caught everyone's attention, right down to remote village outposts. Smells like Hollywood and more.
