Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumFor the first time since I've lived here (since 1982) I just had a
political canvasser ring my doorbell. A man and his eight year old son, from a small town fifteen miles away was canvassing for Bernie in my neighborhood. He said he was at the Bernie rally in Gainesville and that it was fantastic.
I asked him how it was going regarding Bernie supporters in the neighborhood. He said it was mixed. I'll take that as good news since I live in a very red part of the state.
Go, Bernie, go!

(14,459 posts)All the reds here in Utah are terrified of the commie who is going to give everyone free stuff. It's kinda pathetic- there are so many people dependent on gov't programs here, but they are all "self made people" and hate that someone might get something without the appropriate suffering attached.

(23,730 posts)they're so dependent--otherwise people will realize they're really dolists and the Senator won't be able to take credit for the money coming into their state
plus of course there's that whole "mutual aid" (but it's okay if it's not through the gub'mint)

The signs are everywhere.
I'm in NC, which has been gerrymandered red, but, is actually a purple leaning blue state.
I think Sanders can eke out a win here.
