Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumAw, some Hilleryans on DU are tired of hearing about Clinton corruption.
Tired of Bernie talking about it, and tired of reading about it on DU.
It's going to be a long, long spring and summer for them. Drip, drip, drip.
I, for one, am very gratified to be supporting a candidate who pursues truth, and speaks it freely.
I don't have to worry that new investigations of possible criminality will pop up and affect him. I don't spend even one moment worried about things he has said or done in the past or present. I rejoice in his poll numbers for honesty and trustworthiness -- the majority of Americans believe him, too! The majority trust him most to be Commander In Chief.
He is a once in a lifetime candidate. And he's a good, good man.

(11,546 posts)It will be 10 times worse if she is the nominee. Maybe not on DU (bubble, bubble...) but in the real world she will be completely knocked down.

(11,546 posts)ugh... if she wins the nomination, I'm turning off the t.v. and staying away from political websites anyway.

(602 posts)She's been standing up to the republicans for decades and has stayed strong and laughed in their faces. It'll be a cakewalk. Haven't you been listening?
But Bernie and his supporters -- ooooooh. We're so much more aggressive and unscrupulous than the republicans....

(14,255 posts)How Hillary feels about it is totally irrelevant.
Gotta admire the attempt to turn the pig's ear of an astounding pile of baggage into a silk purse, though. Sort of.

(45,251 posts)Many Democrats are tired of hearing about it as well. It's gone on since Gennifer Flowers. I don't even care anymore if it's all false (which it isn't?. It's still baggage to carry into the general. For the fourth time. I wish we had a primary without it.

(45,251 posts)Did anyone alert on the jury results in their mailbox? The juror who voted to hide seems quite partisan.

(50,130 posts)The ego of the Clintons is without comparison. It's so narcissistic for them to drag all of us into their megalomania. Think how much trauma they have already imposed on us all. And then they pose as victims.

(5,198 posts)we are the backstop for what they can get away with. They dread pissing us off too much, which is a tell that goes against the myth that we are a tiny fringe element.
They adopt the name liberal and progressive when it serves them, then beat us back into silence again the second they have their hands on the rings of power. The precious!!!

(1,000 posts)Trying to engage in rational discussion with Hillary supporters is a maddening affair.
How do you have a rational discussion with people who will make things up out of thin air and deny rock-solid well-sourced facts (even those admitted to by their own candidate!) ?
Babel_17
(5,400 posts)There will be discussion of the two investigations by the Inspectors Generals, and the extremely thorough, and encompassing, one by the FBI. They will have a negative effect on the public's perception of Secretary Clinton. And since these investigations were caused by a pattern of behavior I don't imagine there won't be new revelations of other behavior that reflects badly on Clinton's ethical sense.
grasswire
(50,130 posts)It does boil down to ethics.
It's hard for me to understand how solid Democrats can avert their eyes from the ethics of the Clintons, who personify what we Democrats have disavowed for generations. Very hard to understand.

(34,136 posts)he is a once in a lifetime candidate. At least at this point, there might be more eventually...I hope. He is a good man and we don't have to worry about defending him for his past or his present. I cannot imagine 4 - 8 more years of the constant wailing of the Republicans against her, and not for the things we have against her but just because she is a she AND a Clinton. Nothing is going to get done. Maybe that is for the best? Nope, it really isn't if she actually stops with the fossil fuel support (I don't think she intends to).
It must be tiresome to have to defend against rightful attacks on her policies before and now, defend against the fact that she is going to run hard right if she gets the nom, defending against our proving their little attacks trying to make something bad out of Bernie are wrong. I mean really. It must be exhausting. Then to have to troll the Bernie group looking for ways to possibly get us juried off of the site.
I think I have alerted once or twice since I started here. I do not understand that group. It really really really must get exhausting.
