Bernie Sanders

...organizational meeting. It's so great.
So, I'm a musician, in addition to being a fundraising executive, and I just played at this little music festival on Long Island. After my set I was hanging out in the green room and I heard these "kids" talking about Bernie Samders. So of course I jump right in, and then so did a bunch of other people.
We started planning all these activities to promote the campaign. There were almost as many people in the green room networking about the Sanders campaign as there were at the main stage watching the rest of the bands.
It was so exciting. One of the big things that came up was that about 80% of the supporters in the room were registered to vote without party affiliation and have to re-register as Democrats in order to participate in the primary.
Most of the folks were half my age. They really get it.
I'm feeling so energized and hopeful.

(17,045 posts)I think maybe one of the women I met tonight might be able to help me out to organize the benefit show for Bernie that I have been wanting to do. And I've been in touch with the campaign about the best way to handle generating and delivering the funds raised to the campaign.
I used the help@berniesanders.com email and someone got back to me right away.
[div class="excerpt"We are also working on How To guides for a number of things including fundraiser events. Until then, here is what I can tell you about donations:
We're asking that all contributions run through the website where we can properly account for them.
