http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/2015/08/17/bernie-sanders-slams-press/31834983/DUBUQUE, Ia. U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders slammed the state of the American political press Sunday evening after stumping before a crowd of more than 1,500 people at Loras College.
In an impromptu news conference backstage, Sanders quickly lost patience with a gaggle of local, national and international reporters. Instead of focusing on important issues, he said the media is constantly looking to breed conflict between him and Democratic front-
runner Hillary Clinton.
"But the issue that I want to be talking about is the collapse of the middle class. You guys going to write about that?" Sanders asked, to which a small crowd of supporters cheered him on. "I am not going to get into the game of sitting around attacking Hillary Clinton."
Sanders grew perturbed when a reporter asked him how he reconciled his position as the "anti-establishment candidate" with his experience as a "career politician."

(13,877 posts)Hillary can't do too much bashing because without any matching fire, it goes nowhere at best, and reflecting back at worst.
And Hillary will be just Bernie's warmup ... the Republicans don't really have any issues particularly. They, too, are geared up to bash the opponents because they have little to say but , "No".
But a matchup between Trump and Sanders...what a contrast for the nation. I think Bernie's got this.

(2,586 posts)They're not interested in the problems of this country since they cater to the corporations who buy spots on their air time. If the poor paid handsomely we'd know about evey deal the military industrial complex does with which senators.
But alas, more circus with my moldy bread.
