If someone is using one of the safe haven groups to disseminate stuff they would not dare place in GD or somewhere else, then anyone should be able to alert on it. Of course, we do see alerts used as an attempt to stifle, so your point is well taken during the primary election season.

primary. It's only after the candidate was selected for the general that no slags were permitted. I don't think that has changed. Any number of crazy stuff is put up about Bernie and Bernie supporters even in GD-P. It seems wrong to alert in ones own forum if you make a comparison between Hillary and Bernie, which could be either empirical fact or opinion. But we know it had to be one of the Hillary people who did that and who were on the jury. It seems this has been happening in the AA Forum too where people go to discuss their issues and they have been alerted on in their own forum and the juries hid the posts.

11. A jury recently hid a members reply just because they continued to kick a post.

The post was fine, or at least wasn't hidden by hosts, but juries can do whatever the hell they want.

locking OP's that don't meet that. Juries deal with community standards, such as they are, all across the board.

So it seems your question should be directed at Admin who set it up, since Hosts had nothing to do with that alert or hide.

6. I wasn't talking about juries. I know they have to be selected across the board.

It seems that alerters not subscribed to the group shouldn't be able to alert.

8. Hosts do not have anything to do with who can alert to juries. That is for Admin

to figure out. That was my point. Hosts have nothing to do with deciding who can alert to a jury.

I ignore all the SOP alerts from that *(&^%@\ who has been banned from posting here.
