It infuriated me and I dropped several doctors over the years as a result. I've noticed that it has changed in the past few years, though I am still on guard and probably will be for the rest of my life. These days my age might be another reason that I could be ignored or whatever, so I suppose it would be hard to tell the difference sometimes.

Regardless, this is a real problem based on real prejudices and hopefully this type of study will help it to change.
