In response to Trump’s appeal of her decision to deny him presidential immunity to dismiss the DC indictment and his motion to stay her March 4 trial, Federal Judge Chutkan just CHECKMATED Trump by setting a super fast briefing schedule timed to have her in a position to rule as early as THIS TUESDAY night. Michael Popok of Legal AF predicts that the judge will find that it is likely that Trump will LOSE HIS APPEAL and deny the motion to stay, forcing Trump to run to the DC appeals court for emergency relief as he desperately tries to avoid trial before the November election. - 12/08/2023.

when this is all over, at least at the trial level, for Fani Willis, Judge Chutkan, Letitia James, E. Jean Carroll, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss to all appear in a photograph/essay of what they have endured during all of this, how they persevered, the impacts to their families and how their strength has stood by them.

That way, readers can see it in the list of post titles and not click on it, only to be disappointed that there is no text. I space it so that it is visually separate, probably not necessary. DU compresses spaces in titles to a single space, so I have to alternate spaces and dots to get the separation.

I think it is a bit uncommon for a set of women to be playing such pivotal roles as this history plays out. Some are there by accident so to speak, in the sense that they happened to be victims and stood up. Others are there by great accomplishment. Only a bit uncommon because women in positions of power have become more common in recent years than it used to be.

I am glad they are doing what they are doing, because to me they are heroes (or heroines, if you prefer).

because I was unclear and didn't know if the nt was for "no thanks" or "nice try" etc. I try to be supportive of women in all walks of life and I find this particular time and circumstances to have placed these women in the forefront doing battle with perhaps the worst domestic political monster and threat to democracy the country has ever faced.
