But they're trying to stick to the script. Captain Smith continues his soliloquy after the Titanic hits the iceberg, because that's what's in the script. It's why the Supreme Court sounds so ludicrous, their responses all assume a great and all powerful Oz. What if Oz is the criminal, then they need to get back to the great and all powerful Oz script.

We all know that this lunacy wouldn't happen if a Democrat were the subject of these hearings, so we just need to acknowledge that this set of 6 justices are selectively reading the passages that affirm their own great and powerful Oz. It just adds more lunacy to the Monty Python levels of absurdities.

A smarter person than me had the perfect name for their judicial philosophy, "Pretextualism."
