If you don't move, or move very slowly, and aren't smelly to them, they typically won't notice you. Camo is only useful to break up straight lines with color, making it more difficult to use human or visual sensor specific pattern recognition program to identify a stationary person or object from the background.
Hunters don't need camo unless they want to be less visual to other hunters.
