And UCLA was allowing Jewish students to be terrorized and harassed by them. And the organizers were not students. I don’t know if it was Jewish students who fought back, but I’m not cheering for either group.

But it is the same argument in a nutshell. Those who cheer the rounding up of the masked mob who attacked the encampment are failing top give agency to the masked mob who harassed Jewish students and vandalized property. Same thing as blaming Israel for the totality of atrocities of the past 75 years without acknowledging the role of Islamic extremist terror groups dominating the middle east scene for the past 50 years.
