as "others Say" (something bad about Kerry.) This thread is NOT about whether AA people are upset that Rice was not chosen. There have been several on that and there should have been. It is a very nice endorsement from Hillary Clinton.
I am sorry that you are still upset that Rice was not chosen but I suspect that you might not even have known her name a year ago and if she were a white man (or maybe even woman), you would have no problem that she was not chosen.
Me, I think that she was the choice of many in the Obama inner circle and most of the inside the beltway pundits - especially the WP, which was the main source of all the rumors and which actually had the chutzpah to suggest that if Obama did NOT pick her after she was attacked, he was weak.
It would be a lot more honest if you quit the "people are saying" or "tweeting" garbage and just said I think ...... Saying anonymous people are saying something does not give it any more validity than just saying it.
The article is interesting on the difficulties of US diplomacy in Africa. As to not as progressive, as male as he is and as white as he is, Kerry is FAR more liberal and progressive than Susan Rice, the person the author is likely alluding to. Not to mention, as the article points out Kerry is strong on human rights - and Rice supported the mentioned Rwandan President.
