The people who live in D.C. feel they are not represented properly, and
they are asking to be given the full and equal rights of statehood -- along
with reps and senators. Sadly, this would require action by the legislature,
which is presently incapable of making a non-partisan ruling. But, public
opinion should be framed in response to this question: Do the people of D.C.
deserve statehood and congressional representation ? ... regardless of which
party may benefit.

It is much less egregious than gerrymandering, which favors the R's
all over the country.
