I really wonder about people who see GLBTQ rights as the real threat in a society drowning in ecological catastrophes, financial inequality, worsening healthcare and education etc.

Even if you are not an ally or supporter, this is your main concern? That gay or trans people have rights? Real solid priorities there 🙄…your kids are likelier to face threats along the lines of..oh I don’t know…being unemployable because of attacks on education: e.g. being taught creationism and intelligent design; having trashy edtech and surveillance capitalism ruin their futures etc etc. than succumb to ..well.. whatever it is that paranoid fear of the GLBTQ community leads people to worry about-I never follow that stuff because it is such nonsense..something about bathrooms I vaguely gathered-too inane to pay attention to…

Bigotry aside it shows a lack of common sense based consideration of priorities wrt threats to these precious children (even for a helicopter parent) that is mind boggling..
