If any of them actually read the Bible, they heard from his mouth not only quoted passages from the Sermon on the Mount and the Book of Amos, but one of Jesus' most prevalent and heartfelt themes: the emptiness of materialism and the importance of how we treat the least among us. Hopefully, some of them noticed.
I so applaud Bernie for going into that place and telling these young people what they need to hear.
Now -- will the media give this breakthrough speech the coverage it deserves?
