He spoke about topics that touch all of us regardless of age, color, status, religious beliefs or abstinence therefrom. And the wrongs he talked about needing to be righted would benefit all Americans, not just this person or that person.

I particularly liked the speech because I have been a long-time political junkie as well as a person of faith who does not wear her religion on her sleeve. Do not judge other people and live and let live.

IT HAS ALWAYS BOTHERED ME THAT THE REPUBLICANS PRETENDING TO BE THE PARTY OF FAMILY VALUES AND CHILDREN OF GOD HAVE TWISTED AND DISTORTED the lessons I have learned as a young child about how we should treat others. They twist those principles into mere political tools designed to help sway the results of elections at the expense of compromising both the meaning and intent of the words in Good Books.

Senator Sanders shined a spotlight right on that problem as well as addressing the need for all of us to debate our issues with both clarity of purpose and dignity in delivery. And he did so at Liberty University....
