CINCINNATI -- All eyes are on Ohio in the Democratic presidential primary, and those results will be widely broadcast using a novel method.
Real-time, up-to-date election results will be shown Tuesday on digital billboards throughout the state as precincts begin reporting.
Candidates’ names and vote percentages will be instantly updated when unofficial results are released by the secretary of state’s office, officials said.
"This new technology lets us provide this important information as it happens to the hundreds of thousands of people who see these billboards,” said John Barnes, president of the Outdoor Advertising Association.
Cincinnati will be among 10 cities that will receive the electronic updates, officials said.
