When is the American Media going to start telling the truth about Iraq? |
|
Suhana Meharchand on Newsworld's Saturday Report just interviewed Professor Alan Lichtman, presidential historian in Washington and Michael Binyon of the London Times re the state of things in Iraq....They both agreed that things are desperate there...Binyon said the resistance fighting is much more severe than what is being reported in the American media, and that Bush is falsely calling it a small group of thugs causing trouble....And here is CNN with YET ANOTHER replay of People in the News (Mel Gibson).....When they do show anything, it is of some poor misguided soul saying something like "even though my son was killed, I'm proud he died fighting for his country".....It is so sad and terrible.....These great young people dying for nothing....

I literally started to cry while watching Now last night. Listening to their reporter (actually a New Yorker writer) describe the reality of the situation and looking at the pictures that are being broadcast all over the Arab world would convince anyone of the hopelessness and wrongness of the situation. Watching the Japanese who are being held captive made my skin crawl. All this insanity can be blamed on one puppet - I hope the world court fries him and his cronies once they're booted out of office.
