In hindsight, I can confidently say the October Surprise was...Rehnquist |
|
If, as the pundits will probably say, the outcome was determined by the large number of Evangelical Christians that came out, then you know they got fired up at the last minute by the thought of some gay-loving, abortion-pushing lib'rul on the Supreme Court if Kerry got in.
Seriously...it's one of those issues that they probably pay closer attention to than the general population.
Now, the only question is...was it an intentional or accidental October Surprise?
If intentional, it means that Rove and Rehnquist hid the news of his serious--no, probably terminal--condition until the last few days of the campaign, and then the story on Tuesday was how he didn't show back up in the chambers. It was clear now that there was going to be a vacancy, and all them Christians got their tiny little minds in a flurry.
If this was intentional, it's one of the more disgusting things I've ever seen in my life. Nothing Repukes do surprises me.

1. The evangelical turnout story is a lie. |
|
They fudged the vote on the paper trailless machines.
