Regarding the "New" 9/11 Tape: I remember seeing video of the 1st plane

Does anyone else remember seeing this?

It was taken by someone that was doing something to the sidewalk with a fireman standing close by. They all hear the plane flying low and turn around and look up at the WTC and the 1st plane hits....

Why are they saying this new video is the only video of the 1st plane?

8. OK, the only one that shows BOTH planes...

The guy was entering the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel (towards Manhattan) and caught the first plane hitting the north tower without even realizing it...after the trip through the tunnel, they emerged just in time to look up and catch the second plane hitting the south tower.

Even the documentary crew didn't get both. They caught the first by sheer luck, and were moving with the firehouse crew when the second hit.

Only one other tape, by French filmmakers who had been making a documentary on firefighters, is known to exist that shows the first plane hitting the tower. No other known video shows both impacts.

I remember that tape as well, I don't know why they would say that this new tape (which I've not seen as I'm at work) is the only image of the first plane. Obviously some misinformation or something. I don't really see how they could forget, considering the way they shoved it all down our throats for many weeks and months well after the attack.

Seems strange to me, but eh...whatever. Where'd you hear this anyway?

3. I have that burned to disk

Someone had a quicktime video of the plane hitting the first tower, and I downloaded it from someone on DU who had it on their site and burned a couple dozen copies of it. This was a while back. I simply lurked back in those days...

5. Who's saying that?

The documentary film (which you describe) was shown as early as the evening of 9/11, and has been seen many times.

Who is making what specific claims about the "new" film?

(it might be "the first one" that shows the approach, since the documentary crew's view of the plane was blocked bt buildings until a few moments before impact?)

The specific claim being made about the "new" 9/11 tape (shot, I believe, by a tourist from the Czech Republic) is that it is, so far as anyone knows, the only tape the exists which shows -- on the same tape -- shots of each of the two planes hitting the two towers.

All other tapes show one plane hitting one tower.

This one shows one plane hitting the North Tower and, later on the same tape, the second plane hitting the South Tower.

This is the only video that has both planes going into the towers. The French film caught the first plane, but not the second. Many others caught the second plane, but this new tapes has both on one tape.

12. The traffic helocopters broadcasts

I know someone who was watching the news that morning, in NY, helocopters doing the traffic thing broadcast some amazing video that has never been seen again. Copters close to the buildings shot footage showing the inside of buildings through the entry wounds. BTW in some shots the 'fire' was not visible..

18. Actually, the French documentary does show both planes (2nd briefly)

One of the Naudet brothers went into the North Tower with the firefighters. The other was outside filming street scenes and occasionally panning up to the towers.

During the street segment, the camera moves up to the South Tower, you hear the roar of the approaching jet, a flash of movement and then the fireball of the second attack. It lasts no more than a second, but it's in there.

He said he saw the first plane as it hit, while he was at that school.
Only problem is, he would've had to have seen it happen live, and it wasn't broadcast live.

Why isn't this stuff on CNN? Why isn't somebody asking him about this (and countless other) inconsistencies?!

he probably saw a monitor of the North Tower burning.

the more important question is:

WHY would he proceed with a photo op when he KNEW this was no accident.

WHY didn't the administration TELL officials in NYC that they should assume it was a terrorist attack and EVACUATE both towers immediately?

WHY would he sit for 20+ minutes after hearing of the 2nd hit?

* making a misstatement about 'seeing the first plane' is not crucial in the LIHOP scenerio (imho)
