It's not like it's the second coming of christ |

All of these "HE"S ANNOUNCED" threads in here, even if I had not decided on a candidate, it's enough to make you hurl. I imagine if there would have been a "Green Underground" in 1999,the same sort of masturbatory frenzy would have been whipped up when nader announced. He still has to do everything that a candidate would do, get a team in place, raise money, etc... He doesn't get elected just by announcing. Let the best man win the Democratic nomination. I will vote for whoever we nominate.

and lets let em enjoy it. Now that he is in we can stop the "will he, or won't he" and concentrate on a exciting campaign where nobody can be assumed to be the nominee.

Despite all, this is a man whose entire life has been devoted to the military and he has been trained to view the world through that prism. That is not the priority that the Democratic party traditionally represents or the path it should be treading now when military efforts to resolve conflicts have been dangerous and destablizing. Rather than caving to the machismo and bravado of the Reactinary Right the Democrats should promote the intelligent alternative of internationally cooperative and sincere diplomatic efforts for the future world security. In addition, his close ties with the Clintons are an extention of potential Clinton influence and criticism by association at a time when the party is ripe for renewal.

Anybody who can defeat the anti-Christ (Shrub) sounds like the second coming to me.
