Ads to target Delay in 3 Congressional districts

WASHINGTON, April 10 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Public Campaign Action Fund, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization fighting to hold politicians accountable for doign favors for their contributors, applauded Rep. Chris Shays (R-Conn.) statement calling on Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) to step down:

"Representative Chris Shays deserves an award for courage for demanding that Tom DeLay step down. DeLay's big money scandals disgrace the House of Representatives, and Shays is right to take on this dishonorable behavior on display by the Majority Leader," said David Donnelly, political director of Public Campaign Action Fund. "We will continue to press members of Congress in their districts, and now we have a shining example of integrity to point to in Chris Shays."

On Monday, Public Campaign will unveil TV ads it will run in the congressional districts of three Republican members of Congress. Last week, PCAF ran advertising in three congressional districts to put pressure on Republican Reps. Rob Simmons (Conn.), Tom Reynolds (N.Y.), and Doc Hastings (WA).

2. Repukes looking at the polls, and needing to get re-elected.
This isn't courage, just part of the plan.

4. Simmons is an idiot. I will not say that of Shays. He bucks the system
constantly. He is strongly pro-choice and strongly anti-Bush. Simmons doesn't seem to have an independent thought in his head. In CT, the targets should be Simmons and Johnson. That is were the money needs to go, oh, and Joey too. Shays displays TONS of courage, and he has the backing of his constituency.

5. Simmons and Johnson are pro-choice too.
We have a candidate who can beat Shays in Dianne Farrell. She will be a Congresswoman from Connecticut. Shays is in favor of social security privatization we can't let him off light! =(
