Does Dean send bumperstickers to donors? (not bashing just asking) |
|
'Cause here's the thing:
I live in a fairly liberal area of Southern California, but I've seen more "Dennis J. Kucinich, Democrat" (official) bumperstickers than all the other candidates combined. I know we got ours when we sent a donation (and I ordered another).
But Kucinich is in (unless I'm mistaken) dead LAST place in most polls. And I *know* Dean is raising lots of money, he must have TONS of independent donors. So why no bumper stickers? I've seen maybe a dozen Kucinich stickers and only maybe 2 or 3 Deans. One or two Edwards and maybe one Gephardt and 1 or 2 for Hillary.
What gives? Or does Dean not give bumper stickers to donors?
Just curious (saw 3 more Kucinich stickers today on my lunchtime travels, which is what spurred the question).

I sent him money and didn't get anything besides a thank you email. Not complaining. I really didn't expect to get anything from it. I just felt the need to kick in some cash for the guy.

and got a nice postcard with his picture on one side and a bio on the other. I didn't expect even that (it wasn't that much money). No bumpersticker. I'm thinking I might ask about that soon.

Thanks everyone.
I'm amazed at what a great job you've done with "visibility" without even doing the bumpersticker deal. I think it was a smart move by Kucinich to send them out (visibility is important to a deep underdog), and it couldn't hurt Dean, but I'm not gonna fault him. He's had his picture on the cover of Time twice now, hasn't he?
Good work all around.

11. We ordered our own stuff. |

Yard signs are very inexpensive, buttons a dollar apiece, window signs, and bumper stickers. We give out a lot of buttons everywhere we go.

12. I've donated 3 separate times to Dean and didn't get one. |

I'm sure you can buy them but I don't really want one anyway. I've never used my DU ones either. I just don't like bumperstickers on my cars.
