Yesterday I got dragged there by my brother-in-law and niece because of the playground McD's has and had a big mac combo. A few hours afterwards I just didnt feel right. It never fails when I eat there frys and/or burgers. What is it about that place?

2. Could be just plain grease?
Fried food never did anyone any favors.

Hope you're feeling better. BTW, asparagus is now in season :woohoo: and never fails to make me feel great. You may want to eat some as your penance.

16. Maybe McDonalds is the only one that uses the original grease...
The other places might clean out the fryers occasionally.

3. Grease.
If your system isn't used to the grease I suppose you could get an upset tummy.

Or it could be food poisoning.

5. Well lemme see
They are filled with sugar (HFCS) and salt, and there's a complex (and propritetary) list of chemcicals they pump into the food to make it taste the same, no matter how good or bad the potatoes and beef was they sourced...

I haven't eaten at McDonald's in over 10yrs and I'd rather starve than ever eat there again.

12. those little onions and the dressing on Big Macs
gives me a 'McTummy ache' (coined by Morgon Spurlock). But seriously, Big Macs have that weird chemical sauce that sort of burns your lips. And the raw onion messes with certain people also.

13. A day's worth of saturated fats in one sandwich?
It's crap like that that has made me stop eating at drive-thru restaraunts almost entirely. I maybe go to Carl's Jr like once a month (and then usually get the Green Burrito selections) and I love In-N-Out, but that's the extent. Other than that, I avoid places with drive-thrus like the plague.

29. My mother gets sick...
She has kidney failure and she loves the Big Mac but every time she eats at McD's she gets very violently sick.

I get a bit sick to and thus have avoided that particular place. I like Checker's or Culver's the best.

My kids love to go and get a Happy Meal so I will get something once in awhile. I don't eat burgers anymore and that has helped. I usually get the grilled chicken sandwich and that has helped me with my "problem."

36. Grease, sugar, caffiene are contributors, as are
poor cooking, but what is the worst is probably the amount of chemicals added in order to standardise the food. One of them is the most likely culprit, you may have some adverse reaction to it.

Also, America has much lower food standards than here, so it could be other stuff....

38. Their burgers contain
dehydrated onions and something called "grill seasoning." They claim the meat has no additives, fillers or extenders. I'm guessing it might be the "grill seasoning" (whatever that is) that disagrees with you.
