2. exactly.
Most all Packer fans know that. But last season was no way to go out. If they stay healthy they've got a shot to be a wild card.

And I say that as a Bears fan. Let the guy collect on the various Rolls Royces and hoity-toity rocking chairs that Kareem got.

There's no such thing as too much when it comes to my family and Packers items, even if it is crap.

6. Sweet, the VIkings will have 4 interceptions on November 12th.
Brett Favre is well past his prime and spent all last season throwing picks off of his back foot because he was afraid to get hit.

He is doing the Packers a diservice by prolonging the agony.

Let me rephrase that.....did Brett Favre win 6 games last year period?

Even if Brad Johnson was bad, your boy played much, MUCH worse.

44. So you're saying Brad Johnson is better
than Bret favre.Give me a break. How many 300 yard passing games did he have or will he have for that matter. He is a hack. You could take any QB in the league and do what he does.

47. Not saying he's better. That would be ridiculous.
Edited on Thu Apr-27-06 09:33 PM by WeRQ4U
Almost as ridiculous as Green Bay fans continuing to think that Brett Favre is what he used to be. He's not. Far from it. He's an average QB at BEST right now. He throws more picks than touchdowns. He's afraid to get hit. He makes mistakes (just like he always has only now he's too old to get away with them). He throws off his back foot like some rookie busch leaguer. He alienates his teammates. And perhpas more glaring...he's on a bad team and he can't make up for it with talent alone.

That was the basis for my statement. If it weren't for the inevitable nauseating display that will come from the commentators about seeing him for the last time, for the last time, I couldn't be more delighted that he's coming back. Because regardless of how good Bart WAS, the only difference between Brett Favre and Brad Johnson NOW, is that Brad Johnson's teams win ballgames.

I'll welcome him to the dome with arms open.......and so will the Viking secondary.

Johnson does have one, but he had to go the Bucs to get it. Don't flame LaCrosse, I'm on your side. Okay Viking fans, you forget the past so quickly. Your 'triangle of authority' isn't going to bring you a championship by signing used up players.

19. so is Kampmann... thanks for him
I know Aaron's years with the Hawks weren't the best, but he's a good guy to have.

Prediction for the Hawks next year? Believe it or not the Hawks are my second favorite team (I know not supposed to be that way if you're a Badger, but I have several good friends is Iowa City and your fans are second to none.)

UW: Probably something in the neighborhood of 8-3. I'll say fourth in the B10.

We played his high school in football (AP) so I saw him and the other future NFLer's from his area when they were still developing. Good dedicated player. He was at Iowa when Capt. Kirk was just turning things around there. I'm always apprehensive about where the Hawkeyes will stack up in the conference. But if Ferentz has 'em playing like he did late in the regular season last year it's Katie bar the door!
Shades of 2002 all over again.

38. Packers just signed Woodson too
Hopefully he can come back from his nagging injury he suffered in 2001. That division is weak, guys. Minnesota was supposed to be a SuperBowl contender last year and they did nothing. Bears look good but need to kick it up on offense. Lions are well, the lions. I think the Pack can win that division. They have high draft picks, so these players will make a difference. Hawk is the real deal and he'll do great. Even if the Pack goes 9-7 or 10-6, I can see them making the playoffs; at 10-6, perhaps even the division with tiebreakers against da bears

43. Packers To Favre: 'Take Your Time, Asshole'
Packers To Favre: 'Take Your Time, Asshole'
April 13, 2006 | Onion Sports

ASHWAUBENON, WI—Green Bay Packers front-office officials have informed three-time MVP Brett Favre they can wait for his decision on whether or not he's planning to retire for "as long as it fucking takes." "This is a big decision for Brett Favre, and we can't deny that he's the heart and soul of our team, the most important Packer, the most important person in all of America, and the center of the whole entire universe," Packer general manager Ted Thompson said Tuesday. "It's not like we have to make any major decisions that all hinge on whether or not he's returning, after all. We'll just ride around on our lawn tractors on our farm in Mississippi while we wait for him to make up his goddamn mind." Favre would not say when he might announce his decision, admitting that he was "too much in awe of what Mr. Brilliant Genius Thompson did with the 4-12 Packers last year" to commit one way or the other.
