In a seriously "I just lost my job and now am going to inebriate myself" kind of way
Anyway...
Please take this advice well..
- Remember the worse Alpha Male is the one you don't know about yet - Someone can be "on your side" and still manage to stab you in the back, inadvertently - Someone can be your enemy, and still manage to help you - The most logical person may not be the most dangerous person - Just because you make lots of money for the company, is no indication that you are valued by them - Remote employees in red states don't act like local folks - Never let them know who you really are and do - The best offense is a good defense
Cheers!

1. That is really well said. |
|
Much of it could also be said, don't do, because of other people, but for what you think is best, and sometimes that is for other people.
Most of that is only relevant if your goal is to help an individual, not advocate for a point of view.
I hope the job situation works out for you.

4. I feel you - I was laid off last week myself |

I have no advice except that publishing sucks. Um, that's not advice, but you know what I mean...
And I'm too broke to drink anything more expensive than TJ's Hefe. Please let me get buzzed.
Good luck, very very best of luck.

6. All of that is so true |
|
and much of it was the reason I resigned before I got laid off...I saw the writing on the wall.
Having been laid off before, though, I know the feeling, and hope you're doing OK. The layoff-day drunk is always a good one, I have to say.
